Human Transshipment: HK Intl Airport

Hong Kong is well known for its port and the transshipment of cargo out of and into Asia. The HK International Airport serves the same role as a hub for human populations, particularly from and to mainland China. It boasts one of the largest passenger terminal buildings in the world. I arrived at 7 p.m. on August 16th.










Below is a view of the airport from the SkyCity Marriot Hotel, where I spent the first night.
